Beverly Glenn-Copeland at the Hackney Empire

I am hoping to get into a habit of thinking about and using this site, so I thougth I'd type out some thoughts about a show I went to last night.

Last night I saw Beverly Glenn-Copeland at the Hackney Empire and it was a beautiful show. He started off with Ever New and I was instantly in tears. I teared up throughout the night to be honest. The emotion that was on the stage, the talk of community that he and his wife were talking about, the thought that it is so difficult for us to just be good to one another and the idea that "hope" is a verb and that I would like to actively be a part of being that "being good to each other" vibe so I need to actively cultivate it.

I don't think I am perfect, or even close, I know that I have a lot of anger in my heart abuot things, some things that it's good to be angry about!! Sometimes I get disappointed by how much I just dislike the "general public" when I run into them and I think that a good part of that is my attitude... but I would like to think that I would rather everybody be able to live the way they want and to hope that as few people as possible are working to stop them from doing it. It's 2025 and obviously that vibe is looming in the air constantly and the light is constantly getting darker but I am trying to REFUSE to let it make me apathetic or doomer... Just something for me to remember.

Anyway, the show was GREAT and I felt "clean" after it and I want to hold onto the feeling as long as possible... So about 30 minutes?
